Anecdotal Information
This has been a variety of businesses over the years. According to the Lynchburg City Directory, from 1933-1934 the Rivermont Beauty Salon, run by Mrs. Ola M. Willis, was located here. From 1935-1965 this was Anderson's Piggly Wiggly Supermarket, from 1966-1967 the West End Market, from 1968-1981 King's Market, from 1982-1988 Food World, from 1988-1989 Avenue Food Grocery, and from 1991-1993 Osinga's Grocery. After a period of vacancy it served as first Jhoon Rhee Karate in 1997 and Karate International from 2000-2002. More recently it was the Macon Bookshop from 2003-2013, also serving temporarily as the Randolph College Nursery School. Since 2014 it has been the home of Riverside Runners.
